IRVINE, Calif. –  The Titans fell to 4-5 in Big West play as they were defeated by UC Irvine 75-82 on Thursday night at the Bren Center.

Leading 58-52 at the end of the third quarter, the Titans were outscored by the Anteaters 17-30 in the fourth quarter.  Big West leading scorer Raina Perez was held to only one point in the entire second half of play.

Taylor Turney led Fullerton with 22 points and three assists.  Amiee Book scored 14 points and hauled down a team-leading seven rebounds.  Carolyn Gill scored 10 points and grabbed six boards.  Raina Perez was held to 11 points, 10 of them scored in the first half, but contributed six rebounds and four assists.

Fullerton shot 26-56 (46.4%) from the floor, but only 3-12 (25%) from behind the 3-point arc.  UCI shot 27-67 (40.3%), but relied on the 3-point shot all night, knocking down 8-33 (24.2%).  The Titans were slightly outrebounded by the Anteaters 37-39.  Fullerton committed 12 turnovers to eight for Irvine.  

Cal State Fullerton (12-10, 4-5 BWC) will travel to Cal Poly for a 2:00 p.m. game on Saturday, February 15 at Mott Gym.
