FULLERTON, Calif. – The Titans (10-8, 2-3 BWC) lost their third game in a row, falling to UC Santa Barbara 66-75 on Saturday night in Titan Gym.  This was a season split with the Gauchos, as Fullerton won in Santa Barbara 70-68 in overtime on January 9.

The Gauchos got off to an early lead, and held it to 20-10 at the end of the first quarter.  Unfortunately for the Titans, although shooting 44.4% on the night, they were never able to close the gap.

Three Titans finished in double figures:  Amiee Book led the way with 17 points.  Raina Perez was right behind with 15 points.  Taylor Turney logged in 12 points to go with a team-leading six assists.

Santa Barbara owned the boards, and it was a decisive factor in their win.  The Gauchos outrebounded the Titans 42-23.  UCSB's Ila Lane hauled down 14 rebounds to lead all competitors, and UCSB scored 21 second chance points to only two for Fullerton.

The Titans will only play one game again next week.  Fullerton will host Cal Poly on Thursday, January 30 at 7:00 p.m. in historic Titan Gym.
