FULLERTON, Calif. – After trailing for most of the game, the Titans put together a furious fourth quarter rally.  Unfortunately, Raina Perez' buzzer-beater to tie the game wouldn't go, and the Titans came up short to Montana 69-71 in the final game of the 2019 Titan Classic.

ree Titans finished in double figures:  Once again Raina Perez led the way with 17 points and four assists.  Carolyn Gill notched a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards, to go with five assists.  Anniken Frey came off of the bench to contribute 11 points, including 3-6 from beyond the 3-point arc.  

The Titans outrebounded the Lady Griz 36-27, and had five blocked shots to zero for Montana.  Joy Krupa hauled down nine rebounds, and Janette Mensah added eight points in her 18 minutes on the floor.

In the early game, Delaware held off Santa Clara 81-80 in overtime.  By virtue of finishing 2-0, Delaware was the champion of the inaugural Titan Classic.

The Titans will return to competition on Wednesday, when they travel to the Bay Area to face the University of San Francisco.  Please note that the game time has been changed from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
