FULLERTON, Calif. – Sharing the ball was the order of the day, as the Titans overpowered the Biola Eagles 84-51 in a Saturday afternoon exhibition game in Titan Gym.  Four Titans ended the day with double figures in scoring.  All 11 Titans who entered the game came away with points.

Raina Perez came back from where she left off last season, leading the Titans with 16 points, shooting a sizzling 7-for-9 from the floor.  Adding to that, she dished off 7 assists.  Amiee Book, Taylor Turney and freshman Malia Goldsmith each tallied 12 points.

The Titans shot an outstanding 29-for-54 (53.7%) from the floor.  That included an amazing 10-14 (71.4%) from behind the 3-point arc.  Freshmen Malia Goldsmith and Kathryn Neff were perfect from 3-point land, shooting 3-3 and 2-2 respectively.

In the words of coach Jeff Harada, "Defense leads to offense."  That was true today for the Titans as they forced 16 Eagle turnovers, leading to 24 fast break points.

The exhibition game was a great opportunity for some of the young Titans to get their feet wet in game action.  A couple of the newcomers looked jittery upon entering the game, but soon got into the rhythm and flow, and found their spots on the floor.

This Titan team appears to have more depth than in seasons past.  They'll get their first real tests next week when they open at Southern Utah on November 7, then travel to UNLV to face the Lady Rebels on November 9.
