FULLERTON, Calif. – The Titans dropped their second-straight game and recorded a season-low 40 points in a 40-60 loss to Weber State at Titan Gym on Sunday afternoon.

Senior Karima Gabriel recorded her second-straight double-digit game with 15 points while Amanda Tivenius chipped in six points and Sami Logan logged nine rebounds.

Cal State Fullerton (2-2) head coach Daron Park said of Weber State, "I thought they played with more energy. I thought they gave more effort from the start today. They came in wanting to win a basketball game."

Gabriel opened up the game with a layup for the Titans, yet the Wildcats answered back with a 10-point run to take the lead. Tivenius closed the gap in the first half with two free throws, cutting the Wildcat lead to five.

After the first period, Weber State outrebounded the Titans 11-9 and took advantage of their second chances with five points to the Titans two.

Tivenius led the Titans in the first period with four points while Logan and Berry chipped in three rebounds a piece.

Starting the second period, the Wildcats jumped out to their largest lead at 14. The Titans came back with a seven-point run of their own to cut the deficit back to seven.

After getting back within five, the Titans gave up a seven-point run to Weber State to end the first half 33-22. Gabriel ended the first half leading the Titans with 11 points, while Logan led defensively with four rebounds.

In the third period, both teams were held scoreless going into the media timeout until Weber State hit back-to-back three-pointers to take a 17-point lead. Michelle Berry answered back for the Titans with her first layup of the game.

The Titans went on a five-point run with a combination of a Gabriel layup and a Logan three-pointer yet it wasn't enough as the Wildcats returned the favor with six points of their own to end the third period leading the Titans 45-29.

The fourth period brought more woes for the Titans as they were outscored 15-11  to lead the Titans to their lowest scoring game this season.

"We're a really young team and we're going to work really really hard to try to get them to understand just how hard it is to win a Division I basketball game," said Park.

The Titans return to Titan Gym on Tuesday night as they host Wyoming at 7 p.m.
