FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton was led by four Titans who scored double digit points en route to their 72-58 win over Hope International in their final exhibition game on Friday night at Titan Gym.
Freshmen Michelle Berry and Dani Craig led the Titans offensively, posting 18 and 15 points respectively while Karima Gabriel and Amanda Tivenius each posted 11 points.
Junior Sami Logan led the Titans defensively, logging 10 rebounds while Gabriel came through clutch with four blocks.
Fullerton got off to a slow start, allowing the Royals to go on a 5-0 opening run before Berry got the Titans back in the game with back-to-back layups. Berry posted eight points en route to the Titans comeback to tie up the score at 15 after the first period.
Craig kicked off the second period with two three-pointers to lead the Titans on a 11-1 run in the first four minutes. The Titan defense stepped up their game as they only allowed seven points in the second period, allowing the offense to take the reins and post 25 points in the second ten minutes.
Hope International wasn't done yet as they opened up the second half once again on a 4-0 run until Logan hit back-to-back three's wake up the Titans offense.
Fullerton remained strong throughout the rest of the game, shooting a 44.3 field goal percentage, 40.9% from beyond the arc and 50% from the line.
Cal State Fullerton closed out their preseason with two exhibition wins heading into their season opener next Friday as they host Portland State at 7:30 at Titan Gym.

BasketBowl Event
The Cal State Fullerton women's basketball team invites family, friends, supporters and fans to its second annual BasketBowl event at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015. The Titans are asking you to join them in a fun filled afternoon that includes unlimited bowling, billiards, food and drinks in support of the 2015-2016 women's basketball team. The afternoon will also include a silent auction as well as a chance to meet and greet with this year's squad and coaching staff.
The event will take place at the Titan Bowl and Billiards in the Titan Student Union located on campus and the cost per person is $45.
