FULLERTON, Calif. – Fresh off of an exciting run into the Big West Tournament semi-finals last season, the Cal State Fullerton women's basketball team, led by third-year head coach Daron Park, announced their rigorous 30-game schedule for the 2015-16 season on Thursday afternoon.

"I am excited about the challenges we have put in place for our team this upcoming season," Park said. "We have an exciting schedule featuring some competitive non-conference home games against teams that played in the post-season last year. In addition to that we scheduled some strategic road games here in Southern California to challenge this young team but also give our fans a chance to see us play close to home."

The Titans will waste no time getting on the floor of Titan Gym to start their 2015-16 slate, opening with three-straight home contests.  Fullerton opens the season with two exhibition games against Cal State LA (Oct. 29) and Hope International (Nov. 6) and will kick-off the regular season by welcoming Portland State on Friday, Nov. 13th.

The first road trip of the year will feature the Titans heading north, starting with a matchup against Loyola Marymount University (Nov. 17) and continuing on to face Pepperdine in Malibu on Nov. 20th.  This will be the first time the Titans and Waves have faced each other since 2011, when the Titans came out on top, 61-46, at Titan Gym.

Fullerton will return home for a two-game home stand against Weber State (Nov.22) and Wyoming (Nov. 24).  The Titans earned their first win of the season a year ago at Weber State, lead by a school-record 15 three-pointers en route to a 70-68 victory.  The matchup against Wyoming will be the fourth in the programs history, and the first at Titan Gym in 29 years.

Next, the Titans begin a season-high four-game road trip that starts in Dallas, Texas at the SMU Thanksgiving Tournament hosted by Southern Methodist University.  Fullerton will tip-off on back-to-back days with times and opponents still to be determined.  From Dallas, the Titans will head to Coach Park's home state of Montana to take on his alma mater, Montana State (Dec. 3) and Montana (Dec. 6).

Park's squad returns home after the Thanksgiving trips to finish up the non-conference portion of their schedule with three home games and two road contests.  The Titans welcome San Diego (Dec. 9) and Eastern Washington (Dec.13), before heading south to face San Diego State at Viejas Arena on Dec. 19.

Fullerton traveled to San Diego to play the Toreros last season, falling 60-54, after a furious comeback attempt fell just short.  The Titans hit five-straight three-pointers in the last minutes of the game with Samantha Logan and Portia Neale draining two each and Chante Miles hitting one.  Amanda Tivenius and Daeja Smith also had solid performances, each reaching double figures with 17 and 13 points, respectively.

The Titans host Cornell on Dec. 21 for their final home non-conference game before traveling to North Dakota State on Dec. 28 in the non-conference finale.

"Our goal is to hopefully challenge our team appropriately in the non-conference to ultimately prepare us for the difficult Big West Conference schedule," Park said. "To have a early stretch of 5 out of 6 conference games on the road is a tough challenge for even the most experienced teams so it will be important for us to prepare accordingly and be ready to compete every time we step on the court."

Fullerton opens it's 2015-16 Big West Conference schedule with cross-town rival Long Beach State on Jan. 9 at Titan Gym and follow up the conference home-opener by welcoming UC Santa Barbara on Jan. 14.

The Titans then face the most challenging portion of their schedule, with only one of their next six games in the friendly confines of Titan Gym.  On Jan. 16 Fullerton will tip off against Cal Poly, in a rematch of the quarterfinal game of the 2014-15 Big West Tournament that the Titans took at home, 55-48.

Fullerton completes the season series with Long Beach State on Jan. 21 at The Pyramid before welcoming UC Irvine to Titan Gym on Jan. 23.  The Titans then go on the road for their next three contests with the annual trip to Hawai'i (Jan. 28), CSUN (Jan. 30) and finally UC Santa Barbara (Feb. 4).

The final push to reach the 2015-16 Big West Tournament will feature five home games at Titan Gym and three road matchups culminating with a season finale at UC Riverside on Mar. 5.

The Titans start that push with back-to-back home games against UC Davis (Feb. 6) and UC Riverside (Feb. 11) before making the trip to Davis, Calif. to take on the Aggies on Feb. 6.  A home matchup with Cal Poly on Feb. 18 comes before the final regular season game against UC Irvine at Bren Events Center on Feb. 20.

The final two home games of the season will begin with Hawai'i on Feb. 25 before the Titans host the last game of the season at Titan Gym against CSUN on Mar. 3.
