FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's basketball program added another national letter of intent for 2015-16 from point-guard Jade Vega out of Cardinal Spellman High School in Bronx, New York.

"Jade is a talented point guard who we are tremendously excited about," head coach Daron Park said.  "She is extremely good off the dribble, and when she gets into the paint she makes excellent decisions with the basketball.  She is a very capable scorer with good range from the three-point line and boasts a very solid middle game. Jade is also a hard nose defender who really disrupts opponents with her size and quickness. She comes from a very good high school, and AAU program, in New York and we are extremely excited to welcome her into the Titan Family."

Vega led the Pilots to the Catholic High School Athletic Association ArchDiocesan title over St. Joseph by the Sea, 60-57, behind the senior's leadership on the court and her 32 points in the game.  She averaged 18 points, six assists and four steals per game in her senior season at Cardinal Spellman.

The 5-foot-6-inch point guard averaged 28 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.3 steals per game in the city playoffs en route to Cardinal Spellman's second-consecutive CHSAA ArchDiocesan title.

The New York native was honored with a trio of accolades to conclude her high school career in the Bronx.  She was named the 2014-15 Daily News Bronx Player of the Year, a 2014-15 Daily News All-Bronx Girls Basketball All-Star, and a 2014-15 Daily News All-City Girl's Basketball Second-Team member.

Vega joins Lauren Nubla (Sacramento, Calif.), Danielle Craig (Iowa City, Iowa), Madison Crawford (Fort Worth, Tex.), Michelle Berry (Miami, Fla.), and Mikayla Williams (Temecula, Calif.) in the Titans signing class for the 2015-16 season.
