FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's basketball team added another member to its 2015-16 freshman class as Lauren Nubla signed her National Letter of Intent to play for the Titans on Wednesday.

Nubla prepped at C K McClathy High School in Sacramento, Calif., averaging 8.6 points and 4.1 assists per game in her senior year. The 5-foot-7 point guard led her team to a 27-7 overall record and a perfect 14-0 mark in league play en route to a Division 1 CIF State Championship, the first for any high school from the Sacramento district.

Nubla poured in 15 points and dished out five assists in the championship game as her Lions went on to beat Serra High School, 65-61, at Cal Berkley's Haas Pavilion to win the title.

"We are thrilled to welcome Lauren to the Titan women's basketball family," head coach Daron Park said.  "She is an exceptional student-athlete that possesses a unique skill set that we are tremendously excited about.  Lauren has great vision on the court, can score at the rim, does a wonderful job of getting her teammates involved, and just makes everyone around her better.  She comes from a very successful and respected AAU program in JBS, so we know she has been well coached and is ready to come in to contribute to our program right away.  Lauren will be a great addition to the Titan family."

The Sacramento, Calif. native joins Danielle Craig (Iowa City, Iowa), Madison Crawford (Fort Worth, Tex.), Michelle Berry (Miami, Fla.), and Mikayla Williams (Temecula, Calif.) in the Titans signing class for the 2015-16 season.Front Row Banner
