FULLERTON'S RECENT RESULTS
Feb. 28 vs Long Beach State
The Titans lost to Long Beach State 69-62 on Saturday night at Titan Gym behind a team-high 17 points from Lauren Spargo and 16 points from point guard Hallie Meneses.
Turnovers plagued the Titans in the opening 5 minutes of the game, giving the ball to Long Beach State five times.  Fullerton was held scoreless through the first three minutes of the game largely because of the four-straight turnovers to start the contest.  The Titan defense came up with stops to temper the early struggles, however, only allowing LBSU to take a 4-0 lead during the opening minutes of the game.
Fullerton shot 38 percent (11-of-29 FG) from the field in the half, including 5-of-15 (33 percent) from deep.  Statisically, CSF held the advantage over Long Beach in the opening 20 minutes of play, winning the battles for rebounds 19-16, points in the paint 12-4, and bench scoring 12-2.
Long Beach State shot 40 percent (10-of-25) from the field and 33 percent (6-of-18) from behind the arc.  The Beach were able to put up 13 points off of 10 Titan turnovers in the first half which powered them to a 32-28 lead at the half.
After trading baskets for the opening five minutes of the game, Long Beach State caught fire during a three-minute stretch with 15 minutes left to play.  After a made free throw from Miles fell through to close the Titan deficit to 34-37, Wilson and Meneses went on a tear to lead LBSU on a 10-0 run that the Titans could never recover from.
The Titans made shots down the stretch to make the game interesting as Tailer Butler nailed a three-pointer with 1:21 left in the game to pull CSF within five points at 58-63, but Anna Kim drained four-straight from the charity stripe to seal the victory.
Miles led the charge for the Titans once again on Saturday, pouring in 19 points (7-of-16 FG), dishing out four assists and pulling down three rebounds.  The senior reached another milestone in her Titan career, passing Charlee Underwood (1,382 points) on the all-time Fullerton scoring list midway through the second half.  Miles now has 1,384 points in her four-year Titan career.
Logan was a spark off the bench for the Titans against Long Beach State, scoring a season-high 17 points on 6-of-12 from the field.  The sophomore also set a new season-high in the game on Saturday by hitting five three-pointers in nine attempts.
