Despite Miles' big-scoring night, Iwuoha was the spark off the bench that the Titans needed down the stretch to pull out the victory.  Inactive for the past three games, the senior scored in double digits for the eighth time this season while pulling down six rebounds and dishing out two assists in 35 minutes on the floor. 

Miles shot an efficient 6-of-11 from the field, and 3-of-4 from behind the arc for her seventh 20-plus scoring game of the year.  The Compton, Calif. native played the full 40 minutes for the ninth time this season.

The Titans (9-9, 3-2) came out of the gate fast, shooting two-straight three pointers to kick off their night.  Samantha Logan drained the first one with Fullerton's first shot attempt of the game, and Miles started off her night with a quick three points on the next possession.  The buckets were harder to come by after the first minutes of the game, however, as both teams went cold.  The Titans defense kept them in the game during a streak where Fullerton could only muster two points in 10 minutes during the midway point of the half.

UC Santa Barbara's Clair Watkins caught fire with three minutes left in the half, scoring four-straight points to put the Gauchos into the lead, 24-22, at the halftime break.

The teams combined for 22 total turnovers in the first half with UCSB giving away the ball eight times and Fullerton turning it over 14 times.  Miles led the charge on offense for the Titans in the first half with 11 points (3-of-5).  Kristine Brance was the Gauchos scoring leader with seven points.

Both teams discovered their shooting stroke in the early minutes of the final half, finding the bottom of the net with relative ease.  But both defenses once again dug and made getting to the rim difficult.  The Titans answer was Miles and Iwuoha.  Fullerton pounded the ball down low to Iwuoha, who scored seven of her 11 points in the final 20 minutes.  Miles was stellar in leading the Titan offense down the stretch, scoring 17 of her 28 points in the second half.

The Gaucho's did not go away quietly in the final minutes of the game, as Brance hit the last of her three treys on the night with a minute left in the game to pull UCSB within three points.  A big rebound from freshman Portia Neale, after a missed Titan free throw, sealed the victory as Miles calmly sunk her attempts from the charity stripe to give the Titans the four-point victory.

UC Santa Barbara (0-18, 0-5) had two scorers in double figures at the end of the night, Brance and Watkins poured in 15 and 10 points, respectively.  Miles led all scorers on Saturday with 28 points; Iwuoha joined her fellow senior in double figures with 11 points.

The Titans next game will be featured on ESPN3 when they travel to Long Beach State at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday to take on their rivals at The Pyramid.
