Titans Host Toros in Final Exhibition Tune Up

Cal State Fullerton hosts CS Dominguez Hills in its final exhibition basketball game of the 2013-14 season, Friday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in Titan Gym.

"I was really pleased with our effort and tenacity in our first exhibition game," head coach Daron Park said. "As you know the exhibition season is a great chance to test ourselves. We work very hard in practice and it's good to get the opportunity to run up and down the floor with other teams."

Last week, the Titans used a balanced offensive effort and a solid pressure defense in a win over California Baptist, 70-38. Four players scored in double figures for Cal State Fullerton, led by Kathleen Iwuoha's 16 points and 11 rebounds as the junior forward was able to establish a powerful inside presence largely in the second half.

Guard play for the Titans was also consistent on both ends of the floor as Brianna Barfield, Alex Thomas and Chante Miles combined for 26 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, and contributed four steals through their defensive efforts.

"We're preparing for the long haul that is our regular season, especially learning how we'll need to compete during Big West play," Park said. "We're looking forward to another good environment with our crowd and the atmosphere in Titan Gym and the chance to take another step in our preparation for the rapidly approaching regular season."

Admission to the exhibition vs. CS Dominguez Hills is free. Fullerton begins the regular season on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. in Titan Gym when it plays host to South Dakota.
