OREM, Utah – Utah Valley scored two late goals in the second half to come back and beat the Titans 2-1 on Thursday night at Clyde Field.

Utah Valley dominated the pitch offensively, outshooting the Titans 21 to Fullerton's seven shots. Cal State Fullerton (4-4) had a lot of work defensively as Titan goalkeeper David Rodriguez Elias had a busy night, logging a career-high seven saves on the night.

While taming the Wolverines throughout the first half, the Titans managed to score first when sophomore Diego Sanchez scored his fourth goal of the season with a volley off of a header from a UVU player from the top of the box in the 31st minute.

Utah Valley outshot the Titans in the first half 4-9 before kicking it up a notch by tallying 12 shots in the second half, 2 of them managing to find the back of the net to give them the 2-1 victory.

The Titan defense battled against 11 Utah Valley corner kicks, the most allowed so far this season while totaling only seven shots on the night, also a season low.

Cal State Fullerton returns to Titan Stadium to wrap up their non-conference schedule, hosting Grand Canyon on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. as part of a double-header with women's soccer.
