FULLERTON, Calif. – The 2015 Cal State Fullerton men's soccer team will feature 17 new additions to the squad that won the program's first-ever Big West Conference Tournament in 2014.
Throughout the summer, FullertonTitans.com will "Get to Know" the newest Titans, that will step on campus for the 2015-16 academic year.
The fifth Titan signee to join FullertonTitans.com for a Q&A is defender Ricardo Covarrubias.

Position: Center-mid / Center-back
FullertonTitans.com: What made you ultimately decide to attend Cal State Fullerton and play for the Titans?
Ricardo Covarrubias: I chose Cal State Fullerton because it fits in perfectly with my career goals and CSUF has the adequate education that will prepare me later for my career. I decided to play for the Titans because the soccer program, coaches and staff will help me develop as a player.
FT: What position do you play, and what is your favorite aspect about playing that position?
RC: I can play any position but my forte is Center back. My favorite part about playing this position is that I get to defend the goal.
FT: What will the Titan fans expect to see from you on the field in 2015?
RC: Titan fans will be looking at a strong defensive player that will be looking to battle every ball from the first minute until the last minute. I bring a Championship mindset and that's what I look forward to accomplish here.
FT: What do you plan on studying in college and why?
RC: At Cal State Fullerton I am looking forward on receiving a Bachelor's of Arts in Criminal Justice. My ultimate career goal is to become a sworn law enforcement officer.
FT: If you had a chance to spend the day with anyone throughout history, who would it be, and why?
RC: If I had the opportunity to spend the day with someone, I would spend it with my uncle Juan Rodriguez. I didn't get a chance to meet because of life's ultimate rule, but I've heard great stories of him and I think about the impact he would've had in my life.
