Titans in the Pros: Catching Up with the 2014 Team

FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton men's soccer team had three student-athletes from the 2014 squad sign with professional teams from the United Soccer League this spring after playing their final season at Titan Stadium.

Garrett Losee, Spencer Johnson, and Amara Soumah joined former teammate Marc Fenelus, who was drafted by the New England Revolution in the 2015 Major League Soccer SuperDraft in January, in the professional ranks.  Losee signed with the Real Salt Lake Monarchs; Johnson with Arizona United Soccer Club and Soumah with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

Losee appeared in 22 games in his final season in a Titan uniform, scoring four goals while adding two assists for a total of 10 points.  The South Jordan, Utah native scored seven goals, four of them the game-winning variety, and recorded 17 points in his two-year Titan career.

The midfielder was the lone Utah native to earn a contract from the hometown Monarchs after a local tryout where he beat out over 300 candidates to earn his spot on the roster.

Johnson appeared in 23 games in his final season as a Titan in 2014, scoring one goal and earning two assists on the year.  A four-year student-athlete at Cal State Fullerton, the Rolling Hills Estates, Calif. native posted two goals and six assists in his outstanding Titan career.

Soumah was a key contributor to the Titans run into the NCAA Tournament in 2014, appearing in 22 total games, posting five goals and one assist. In his two-year Titan career, Soumah found the back of the net eight times and totaled 17 points.

All three former Titans have made their professional debut's early in the 2015 season for their respective squads.
