Titans Head North for Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational

Cal State Fullerton heads back out on the links this week as the Titans participate in the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational hosted by the University of Pacific.

THE COURSE: The Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational will be held at the Stockton Golf and Country Club and will play as a 6,516-yard par-71.

THE FIELD: There will be 12 teams participating in this year's event and they include: Pacific, Sacramento State, Seattle, Long Beach State, BYU, Grand Canyon, Boise State, Temple, CSU Bakersfield, UC Riverside, CSUN, Cal State Fullerton, and Denver.

IN THE RANKINGS: The Titans are currently ranked No. 132 in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings. The rest of the field measures up as follows: Pacific (No. 202), Sacramento State (No. 93), Seattle (No. 159), Long Beach State (No. 192), BYU (No. 41), Grand Canyon (No. 118), Boise State (No. 144), Temple (No. 213), CSU Bakersfield (No. 274), UC Riverside (No. 209), CSUN (No. 191), and Denver (No. 107).

LAST TIME OUT: The Titans posted their second top-10 team finish of the season, placing sixth at the Bill Cullum Invitational on Oct. 17-18. The team shot a 2-over 866 over 54 holes and were one of six Big West Conference teams to finish in the top-10 at the tournament hosted by CSUN.

TAP-INS:

-In his first career tournament, sophomore CJ Coleman posted the best finish of any of the nine Cal State Fullerton golfers participating at the Bill Cullum Invitational. He recorded a top-10 finish, placing in a tie for sixth after carding a 7-under 209 including a 4-under 68 in the third and final round. Coleman also finished third overall in par-3 scoring with a 2.83 stroke average and 2-under overall score on those holes.

-Matt Wilson currently leads all Titans that have played in both tournaments this season with a 71.00 scoring average. He finished tied for 11th at the Bill Cullum Invitational with a 5-under 211, his best score of the fall so far.

-As a collective, the Titans are averaging a 289.17 scoring average per round this season.
