Men's Basketball Adds Wade for 2022-23 Season

FULLERTON, Calif.  – Head Coach Dedrique Taylor and the Men's Basketball program have announced the signing of Garrison Wade for the 2022-23 season.

"Garrison gives us experience and maturity which I think are needed to repeat as Big West tourney champs. His size, skill and ability to play hard will add to a good nucleus of returners," Dedrique said. "Garrison will improve our spacing and help us rebound and oh yeah we are getting a Dartmouth educated student, a complete well rounded young man."

As mentioned, Wade comes to Cal State Fullerton as a graduate transfer after playing three years at Dartmouth where he is top three in blocks, three-pointers made and rebounds.

Wade prepped at St. Andrews Epscipol School in Ridgeland, Miss. where he helped lead the team to its first ever state championship in 2018. Wade was a four-year letter winner on the basketball team and a two-year letter winner on the baseball team.

In his junior year Wade was the team Co-MVP and was a member of the North vs. South State All-Star Team. In his final high school season he was a part of Clarion Ledger's "Dandy Dozen" which recognizes the top 12 players in the state. He was also named district MVP and second team all-state. In the championship game, Wade scored 19 points and grabbed 19 boards to be named MVP of the game.
