FULLERTON, Calif. – Caden Connor, Deylan Pigford and Cole Urman earned Big West Honorable Mention following the 2021 season, the conference announced Wednesday.
Connor led the team with a .325 batting average and 29 runs in his first full season with the Titans. He finished second on the team with 22 RBI. Connor had an impressive outing against UC Riverside where he went 11-for-22 with four runs and six RBI in four games. In game two of the series, Connor recorded five hits (the most from a Titan in a single game since Scott Hurst in 2017) and four RBI (the most in a game since Mitchell Berryhill in 2019).
In his first year with the Titans after transferring from Midland College, Pigford hit .277 with 19 runs and 18 RBI and had a tied for team-high 12 doubles this season.
Urman handled duties behind the plate for the Titans in 2021 after not appearing in a game during the shortened 2020 season. The freshman hit .275 with 15 runs and 18 RBI and had an on-base streak of 20 consecutive games during the season.
