Fullerton Falls to Hawai'i in Rubber Game

HONOLULU – Cal State Fullerton (16-19, 4-5) dropped the final game of the three-game series to Hawai'i Saturday afternoon at Les Murakami Stadium by a final score of 3-1.

The Titans took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning, however, they were unable to hang onto it as Hawai'i scored in three consecutive innings starting in the fifth.

Mitchell Berryhill went 1-for-3 with one walk to extend his on-base streak to 44 consecutive games. Berryhill is hitting .437 on the year which leads the Big West Conference and ranks fifth in the entire country.

Michael Knorr started the game on the mound for the Titans and went six innings, allowing seven hits and just three earned runs while striking out three batters. Dillon Brown pitched 1.2 innings and allowed only one hit while giving up no runs.

Fullerton returns to action Tuesday with a midweek home game against No. 1 UCLA at Goodwin Field with first pitch at 6:00 p.m. PT.
