The Titans are coming off their 17th trip to the NCAA College World Series in 2015 and first since 2009, snapping the longest CWS drought in Fullerton history. It was the 41st consecutive winning season and 30-win season in the program's NCAA Division I history. Fullerton advanced to its 24th consecutive NCAA Tournament in 2015 and 37th overall in 41 years of existence.

Fullerton had six overall selections in the 2015 MLB First-Year Player draft, marking the 41st straight season that the Titans have had at least one player drafted. The Titans draft class included Thomas Eshelman, David Olmedo-Barrera, Justin Garza, Tyler Peitzmeier, A.J. Kennedy and Jake Jefferies.

In 2015, the Titans nine Big West All-Conference selections and had Olmedo-Barrera earn co-field player of the year while Eshelman was named the conference's pitcher of the year. Head coach Rick Vanderhook earned conference coach of the year honors for the third time in four seasons at the helm of the Titans.

In addition, Vanderhook was named the American Baseball Coaches Association West Region Coach of the Year to go along with All-West Region player selections Eshelman, Olmedo-Barrera and Peitzmeier. The Titans also had four players selected as All-Americans, including current sophomore left-hander John Gavin, who earned a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American nod.

Along with Gavin, this year's Titans return outfielder Josh Vargas, who led the team with a .332 batting average. Right-hander Connor Seabold returns for his sophomore season after averaging 9.91 strikeouts per nine innings in 2015, the ninth best single-season mark in Titans history.

The Titans also boast the 24th best recruiting class in the nation according to Collegiate Baseball newspaper's annual evaluation.

Fullerton's class ranks first among Big West Conference opponents, ahead of No.  36 UC Santa Barbara. The Titans recruiting class also ranks second amongst teams in California, trailing only UCLA at No. 6 and ahead of No. 34 USC.

Florida received the top ranking this season with South Carolina, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt rounding out the top-five.
