FULLERTON, Calif. – Thomas Eshelman and Tyler Peitzmeier of the Cal State Fullerton baseball team were honored with spots on the 2015 Louisville Slugger NCAA Division I All-American squad, the NCAA announced on Thursday.

Eshelman, fresh off being named the 2015 Big West Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-Big West Conference this season, was named to the second team after posting an 8-5 record and recording a 1.57 ERA in 15 starts.  The junior previously was named to the Louisville Slugger NCAA Div. I First Team All-American and Freshman All-American in 2013, to go along with being tabbed Collegiate Baseball Freshman Pitcher of the Year.

The Carlsbad, Calif. led the Big West Conference in strikeouts with 111 and held opposing batters to just a .207 batting average while on the bump in the 2015 regular season.

Peitzmeier earned a third team nod as a reliever after posting a Big West Conference leading 16 saves in his final year at Fullerton.  The senior racked up 48 strikeouts while holding opposing hitters to a .253 batting average in 44.1 innings pitched, earning him a nomination to the 11th annual National Collegiate Baseball Writer's of America Stopper of the year list in April.

The Titans left-handed closer was also named to the 2015 First Team All-Big West team and previously was honored with an honorable mention nomination as a sophomore in 2013.

The Titans open up NCAA Regional action against Pepperdine at 7:00 p.m. at Goodwin Field on Friday.
