FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton pounded out 14 hits and snapped a four-game losing streak with a dominating 11-0 victory over visiting CSU Bakersfield Wednesday night in a non-conference game at Goodwin Field.

The Titans (10-9) had four players record multiple hits and drive in multiple RBIs as five pitchers combined to shutout the Roadrunners (11-9-1), holding the visitors to just four hits.

Freshman Connor Seabold picked up his second victory of the season as he went five and 2/3 innings, surrendering just two hits. He walked one and struck out six, matching his career high.

Maxwell Gibbs, Miles Chambers, Willie Kuhl and Chad Hockin combined to pitch the final three and 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, also allowing only two hits to go with a strikeout.

Offensively, Scott Hurst, Jerrod Bravo, Dustin Vaught and Timmy Richards all had two hits on the night. Hunter Cullen recorded his first career hit and drove in a career high three RBIs to lead the team.

Bravo, who came in as a substitution in the seventh inning, went 2-for-2 with a run scored and extended his hitting streak to seven games.

The Titans erupted for six runs in the first inning to essentially put the game out of reach with all of them coming with two outs. Jake Jefferies led off with a cue-shot single to third. David Olmedo-Barrera and Turner Buis each reached base on a walk and infield single respectively to load the bases with two outs. Vaught stepped in and knocked in two runs with a single to put the Titans up 2-0

A.J. Kennedy then reached on an error by the shortstop to keep the inning alive and Hunter Cullen recorded his first career hit on the next at-bat, slicing a double over third and down the left field line for a two-run double. Timmy Richards capped off the frame with a two-run single to put the Titans up 6-0.

Richards finished the night going 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

It was more than enough for the Titans pitching staff as they allowed just two Roadrunners to advance into scoring position on the night.

The Titans will now embark on an eight-game road swing beginning this weekend as they travel to Blair Field to take on Long Beach State in a three-game non-conference series.
