SOUTH YARMOUTH, Mass. - Cal State Fullerton's J.D. Davis was named to the 2013 Cape League All-Star Game, it was announced on Saturday.
Davis is spending his summer playing with Chatham, and will represent the East Division All Stars as a reserve. He will also participate in the home run derby.
First pitch is at 4:30 p.m. ET (1:30 p.m. PT), Saturday (July 27) and the game will be televised nationally on Fox College Sports (FCS).
Davis is batting .315 for the Anglers, driving in 17 runs with four doubles and two home runs. On the mound, Davis has two saves in three appearances, striking out five in three and 1/3 shutout innings.
