BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – It was yet another strong start for Cal State Fullerton, but a disappointing finish, as the Titans fell 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-14) to CSU Bakersfield, Tuesday night inside the Icardo Center.
The Titans (6-10) battled and led for most of the opening set and kept things close all through set number two, but unfortunately just couldn't get over the hump.
Felicia Marshall nearly posted a double-double with eight kills to go along with 10 digs. For the first time this year Gabrielle Barcelos was the team's kills leader with nine, while posting a fantastic .348 attack percentage. Madeline Schneider also chipped in with six kills to her name.
Neena Dimas was phenomenal defensively, as she dug out 20 balls to lead all players in the match. Makenzi Abelman did her part, securing a team-best 13 assists to go along with five digs.
Haley Carmo stepped up at the front of the net, coming through with two block assists.
The Titans look to end their skid on Friday, as they travel to Hawaii. The match will be at 10 pm PT and can been seen on Spectrum Sports.
