FULLERTON, Calif. – It just wasn't Cal State Fullerton's night on Friday, as the Titans dropped a 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-15) decision to San Francisco inside Titan Gym.
For Fullerton (6-5), the loss marks its fourth straight after winning six in a row. However, it'll have a chance to close out the Titan Tournament on a high note, as it'll play Idaho tomorrow at 2 pm PT.
Madeline Schneider led the Titans with 12 kills on a .258 attack percentage, while securing five digs. Tyler Fezzey followed up with eight kills and five digs of her own on a .300 attack percentage.
Neena Dimas was great defensively, as she led Fullerton with 17 digs, while Haley Carmo and Maya Riddlesprigger each came through with three block assists. Courtney Mueller has team-high 16 assists and Gabrielle Barcelos showed up with six kills.
The frustrating recent theme continued on Friday, as the Titans managed to keep things close, but weren't quite able to get over the hump. Fullerton posted its best attack percentage in the second set, as it recorded 12 kills and just four errors for a .222 attack percentage. It was also the closest the Titans came to winning a set on the night.
Fullerton aims to rebound tomorrow with a victory against Idaho.
