FULLERTON, Calif. – It may be very early in 2018, but the Titans have shown a tremendous amount of promise already, as the Titans responded to sweep UMass Lowell 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-16) in the nightcap of the Fullerton Classic, Friday evening in Titan Gym. Fullerton earned the dominating win after seeing a late rally in its opener earlier in the day against Akron fall just short.
While the win was impressive for Fullerton (1-1) in itself, the positive momentum certainly can't be ignored, as the Titans have won five of its last six sets going back to the season opener vs. Akron Friday afternoon. The Titans' average margin of victory in their five set victories this season has been eight points.

For the second consecutive contest, Madeline Schneider dominated on the court, as she led all players with 13 kills at a .310 attack percentage. Overall she contributed a match-high 14.5 points. Tyler Fezzey struck for six kills on just 14 attacks for an attacking percentage of .357.
Felicia Marshell nearly had herself a double-double, as she came up with a team-best 10 digs, while also recording six kills in the win. Summer Kerins was superb defensively, posting five block assists in the contest.

The match was never in doubt as Fullerton led wire-to-wire in front of an electric Titan Gym crowd. The Titans were efficient all match long offensively and got better as the night went on. The Titans attack percentage ended at an impressive .333 in the third set. Fullerton's sideout percentage of 53.4 percent was nearly unstoppable.
The Tians aim to improve to 2-1 on the young season, as they'll take on Montana, Saturday at 11 am PT.
