FULLERTON, Calif.--- It won't count in the record books, but the Titans started the season exactly how they wanted to, earning a 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-20) sweep over the Alumni in the program's annual Alumni Match, Saturday afternoon inside Titan Gym.
Saturday's match marked the second straight season the Titans were able to earn a sweep over the Alumni side.

For Fullerton, the match serves a final tune up for the regular season, which will begin Friday vs. Akron at 11 am PT inside Titan Gym. It will be the first of a three-match schedule for the Titans in their tournament. Fullerton will play UMass Lowell later that night and Montana at 11:00 am PT on Saturday. Overall the Titans will then hit the road for a season-long six match road trip.
The Alumni came out strong and kept things close with the Titans all the way throughout.

The Titans followed their Alumni Match by holding their annual Welcome Back fundraiser.
