FULLERTON, Calif. - Former Cal State Fullerton women's volleyball player Leah Best departed California on Friday to join Lindesberg Volley in Sweden.
Best is the second Titan in as many years to sign a professional contract as All-American Kayla Neto signed on to play for Sm'Aesch Pfeffingen of the Swiss Volleyball League in the summer of 2013 following graduation.
Best will join her new team in mid-season as the competitive year for the Elitserien League ends at the end of April.
Her first game was Saturday against Engelholm.
A native of London, Best played three years at Cal State Fullerton (2011-13) after transferring from Western Carolina following her freshman season.
During her time at Fullerton, Best totaled 428 kills and 206 blocks.
