NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – The Titans women's tennis team defeated CSUN on Wednesday during their final match of the regular season.

In doubles, the matches were neck and neck, every court was up by only one game. Jadie Acidera/Camila Garcia beat their opponents 6-4 to add to their winning record this season at No. 2 doubles. No. 3 doubles, YuSeung Suh/Natalie Duffy had a slow start and were down early in their match. But, they were able to work their way on top to take the match 6-4. Suh/Duffy have now increased their win streak at the No. 3 spot to 5-0. With the win at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, the Titans headed into singles with a 1-0 lead over the Matadors. 

During singles, the Titans picked up their second win of the match after a retirement at No. 1 singles. Misaki Kobayashi won the first set, 6-4 before her opponent retired. Juliette Daries  handled it at No. 6 singles by defeating her opponent in straight sets, (6-3, 6-3). With three wins under the Titans' belt, they only needed one more to get the win over the Matadors. YuSeung Suh had a close first set but was able to close out the match in straight sets for the Titans to go home with a win. Both YuSeung Suh and Juliette Daries have increased each of their singles' win streaks to four. 

This win has boosted the Titans to a 5-match win streak. The final score for the Titans was 4-1. 

UP NEXT
Titans will head into post-season play and compete in the Big West Championships. The Big West will release brackets and schedules as early as Sunday, April 25th.
