FULLERTON, Calif. – The Titans had a challenge at the beginning of their match up against San Diego this Saturday.
No. 1 doubles (Eira Tobrand/Misaki Kobayashi) dropped the set 1-6 followed by losses at No. 2 and No.3 doubles. The Titans lost the doubles point to the Toreros to head into singles down 0-1.
In singles the Titans continued to struggle to stay in the game with Court 1, Misaki Kobayashi, finishing first 0-6, 2-6. Eira Tobrand had a tough time fighting off her opponent as well and lost in straight sets, 3-6, 2-6.
There was still hope for the Titans as Juliette Daries down on Court 5, was in a close battle during the first set but dropped it 6-7(5). Up at No. 4 singles, the game against the Toreros was decided after Natalie Duffy wrapped up her match with the score of 3-6, 3-6.
UP NEXT
Next Saturday's game against San Diego State has been cancelled. No information about a rescheduled match at this time.
