FULLERTON, Calif. – In a match that was much closer than the final score would indicate, the Titans fell to Saint Mary's 2-5 on a spring-like Sunday afternoon in Fullerton.  Saint Mary's is a member of the West Coast Conference, and has the #19 DI singles player in the nation in Mariia Kozreyva.  Kozreyva confined herself to doubles play against Fullerton.

After splitting with the Gaels in the first two doubles matches, Eira Tobrand and Petra Such battled for Fullerton, but ultimately came up short 5-7, allowing Saint Mary's to gather the first point of the dual match.

Almost all of the singles matches were close, but ultimately only Eira Tobrand and YuSeung Suh were able to come away with victories, and the only two points that the Titans would earn on the afternoon.

Cal State Fullerton (5-2, 0-0 BWC) will return to the Titan Courts on Friday, February 21 for a 1:30 p.m. match with the New Mexico Lobos.  The first league contest of the year will take place on Saturday, February 22 when the Titans will travel to UC Riverside for an 11:00 a.m. dual match with the Highlanders.
