LONG BEACH, Calif. – After day one at Beach Tennis Tournament, the Titans compiled four wins. Four Titans picked up their first win of the season on Friday.

The first win of the day came early from doubles team Jadie Acidera and Masako Makiba in doubles Flight A against Portland State's Meszaros/Milenkoski, 6-1. Unfortunately the duo's winner's bracket run came to an end, as it lost a hard fought 6-3 match to Washington State's tandem of Sato/Mylonas.

In singles Flight A, Casey Lee Emery won her first singles match of the season against Washington's State's Hikaru Sato 6-4,1-6,7-5. In the same Flight A, Jadie Acidera also won her second match of the day and first singles match of the season against Jacinta Milenkoski (PSU) 4-6,6-0,6-3.

Lee Emery will be facing Monika Van de Vondel from CSUN at 10am PT while Acidera will take on Long Beach State's Natalia Munoz at the same time tomorrow in second round action.

After losing their first game in doubles Flight A, Lee Emery and Eira Tobrand won their first consolation game against the CSUN duo Roenholt/Schmidt 6-2. This is their first win of the season in doubles play.

Other Titans could not make it past their first game in singles and doubles and will still participate in consolation draws starting at 9am PT on Saturday. Full day one results are listed below along with Saturday's schedule.
