ITA Division I Singles Rankings
FULLERTON, Calif. – Freshman Genevieve Zeidan has made a great first impression during Cal State Fullerton's fall campaign, as she's ranked 103rd in the latest ITA singles rankings, released on Wednesday.
A 2017 graduate from Zhong Xing High School in Taipei, Taiwan, Zeidan's performance has been stellar thus far as a freshman. She's compiled a dominant 11-1 record in singles, while claiming four consecutive victories to end the fall season.
To start the fall, the Titans traveled to compete in the Long Beach Invite. Zeidan finished off her perfect run through Flight C out at the Beach Fall Tournament, defeating LMU's Camily Tusmosa, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 to claim the flight championship. Zeidan had an explosive start to the season as she went a perfect 4-0 in singles play in Long Beach.
Zeidan's only loss in the fall came at the hands of USC's No.27 Angela Kulikov in the round of 16 during the ITA Southwest Regionals.
In the CSUN Matador Invitational, Zeidan locked in another four-match win streak after successfully defeatubg each of her opponents en route to the singles title.
Genevieve and the Titans look to open the spring season at Titan Tennis Courts on Jan. 18, 2018 against UC San Diego at 1:30 p.m. PT.
