Titans Travel to Cal Poly to Resume Big West Conference Action

FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team returns to Big West Conference play after two-straight non-conference tilts when it travels to take on Cal Poly at Mustang Tennis Complex on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. and UC Santa Barbara on Friday at 1:30 p.m.

Fullerton and Cal Poly enter Thursday's match looking to pick up their first win in the Big West Conference play as Fullerton's record is 0-5 and Cal Poly's record stands at 0-3.  UCSB, however, has won its first three conference tilts of the season and comes into the contest against the Titans on a six-match winning streak.

The Titans are coming off a non-conference home stand where they beat Colorado State decisively, 6-1, on Mar. 18 before dropping a decision to Wyoming 5-2 on Mar. 19.  The Mustangs return home to face the Titans after a one-match road trip to Portland, Ore. where they beat Seattle University, 6-1, in a neutral-site matchup.

Fullerton freshman Danielle Pham enters this week's action as the defending Big West Female Tennis Athlete of the Week after earning victories from the No. 4 singles position against Colorado State and against Wyoming University.  Pham was also key in earning the doubles point for the Titans over Colorado State, teaming up with sophomore Alexis Valenzuela and taking down the CSU duo of Porter/Hernandez 6-1.
