Fullerton is off to a 3-3 start following a Feb. 4 non-conference victory over Azusa Pacific with an 0-1 mark in Big West play.
The visiting Aggies are even more rested, losing a match with Santa Clara to the rain last week. They are 2-4 with their last competition a 4-3 loss to Pacific on Jan. 31. This will be their Big West opener. They play the following two days at CSUN and UC Irvine, respectively.
The Aggies have gotten good play lately from freshmen Kristy Jorgensen and Lani-Rae Green, who was the Big West player of the week before Jan. 28.
Fullerton has been paced by its usual Nos. 1 and 2 singles players in Alexis Valenzuela and Camille DeLeon. Valenzuela, a sophomore from West Covina, is 6-6 in singles play while DeLeon, a sophomore from La Mirada, is 5-10.
Next weekend Fullerton travels to Northridge for a Big West match with CSUN on Saturday and then hosts Southern Utah in a non-conference affair on Sunday.
