Saturday's Results (PDF)

FULLERTON, Calif. – With a pair of victories on Saturday, senior Kalika Slevcove is set to play for first place in the singles silver bracket at the Matador Collegiate Invitational at CSUN on Sunday.

The Newport Beach, Calif., native defeated UC San Diego's Nava Nowamooz, 6-2, 6-4 in the quarterfinals of her bracket before she knocked off teammate Rebekkah Ermac, 6-4, 6-2 in the semifinals.

Ermac had reached the semis after edging Loyola Marymount's Logan Finnell 6-0, 4-6, 10-1 in quarterfinal action.

In consolation play, freshman Michelle Erasmus defeated UC Riverside's Natalie Penner 6-2, 6-3 in the singles pink bracket.

Also playing for the title in their respective bracket on Sunday will be the doubles team of Emilia Borkowski and Slevcove, who recorded an 8-6 win over Inge Hendrix and Laura Oldham of Arizona.

The final day of competition at the Matador Collegiate Invitational will conclude on Sunday.
