LONG BEACH, Calif. – Freshman Michelle Erasmus recorded her first win as a Titan in singles action while the doubles team of Camille De Leon and Megan Sandford was also victorious on Sunday as the Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team completed play at the Beach Tennis Tournament on the campus of Long Beach State.
Erasmus, a freshman from Johannesburg, South Africa, was playing an extra singles match on Sunday, and defeated Loyola Marymount freshman Kylie Waschuk, 6-3, 6-1.
In doubles play, De Leon and Sandford earned their team-leading third doubles win of the year with an 8-4 victory over Tracy Landram and Mary Meyers of Air Force.
The Titans return to action on Thursday, Oct. 16 at the ITA Southwest Regionals in San Diego.
