FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton clinched the doubles point and won three singles matches at the top of the lineup to edge Air Force, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon at the Titan Tennis Courts.

Fullerton's win in its home opener improved the Titans' record to 1-1 on the year.

The team of Morgan McIntosh and Camille De Leon defeated Natasha Rizvi and Marcell Magday, 8-4, to pick up Fullerton's first doubles win at the No. 1 position. After Air Force earned a win at No. 3  doubles to even the score, CSF's Kalika Slevcove and Alexis Valenzuela defeated the Falcon team of Tiffany Tran and Mary Meyers to clinch the crucial doubles point for the Titans.

At No. 1 singles, McIntosh earned her first win of the year recording a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Tiffany Tran. Valenzuela, in her rookie year, also picked up her first win, dispatching Rizvi, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 in the lineup.

De Leon remains undefeated on the season at 2-0 after defeating Meyers, 7-6, 2-6, 7-5, at No. 3 in the lineup.

The Titans open Big West play on Friday at Long Beach State before hosting Nevada at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Titan Tennis Courts.
