FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton (17-10) defeated DePaul, 5-1, behind Alexa Neil's career day at the plate to close out day three of the Easton Invitational. The rookie second baseman went a perfect 3-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, a run scored, and a sacrifice bunt.

DePaul got on the board first plating a run in the second, but that would be in the only run the Titans would allow.

Dani Martinez got the start in the circle for Fullerton and after surrendering the solo home run in the second, she would go on to retire 14 of the next 15 Blue Demons she'd face.

Alexa Neil would tie things up in the bottom of the third with a leadoff home run. It was the second in her rookie campaign and was her second hit of the night.

After two quick outs in the fourth, Kelsie Whitmore came to the plate and launched one to deep right-center. The ball would come mere inches from a home run, but Whitmore would end up on third with a triple. Neil would follow it up with an infield single giving the Titans the lead.

Fullerton would tack on two more in the fifth. Deshea Hill led the inning off with a walk and Daisy Munoz followed it up with a double into the right-center gap. A Sam Kennedy sac fly would bring in a run and an error on the play would make it a 4-1 game.

After back-to-back singles and a sac bunt, Ari Williams would send a fly ball to center and drive in the Titans' fifth and final run of the ballgame.
