FULLERTON, Calif. – With less than a month until first pitch, Titans softball welcomes eleven newcomers to the program and this series goes "in the dugout" with each of them to get to know who they are. Next up is Daisy Munoz.
Munoz is a 5'8" infielder from Buena Park, California. She joins the Titans after playing at two different high schools for her four years. Her freshman, sophomore, and senior years were at Los Alamitos High School while she played her junior year at Kennedy High School. Her upper classmen years were her best earning Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-League her junior year and Offensive Player of the Year and Second Team All-League in her senior year. She was also awarded the Scholar-Athlete award in the 2014-15 academic year as well.
"Daisy is an absolute powerhouse," says Head Coach Kelly Ford. "She has grown so much in just one semester as a Titan and is going to be a HUGE contributor for us."
Daisy is the daughter of Michael and Jennifer Munoz and has two younger siblings, Albert and Lily. She is majoring in Kinesiology and hopes to become either a physical therapist or a sports trainer. When asked why she chose to be a Titan, she said "the coaches are incredible and how successful the program is really drew me in."
The season officially kicks off in 24 days when the Titans host the Titan Classic. The first game is Feb. 7 against Idaho State at 6:00 p.m.
