FULLERTON, Calif. – After winning another Big West title making them back-to-back champions for the first time in over a decade, Cal State Fullerton looks for the three-peat as the program released its 2018 schedule, head coach Kelly Ford announced on Thursday.

"I am fired up about our 2018 schedule, it is extremely competitive" said Coach Ford. "The amount of top 25 teams that we are able to compete against opens up so many opportunities for us. My philosophy is to be the best, you have to beat the best and with this schedule, we have that chance."

The Titans will take part in six tournaments this season, playing host to four of them. The first of these takes place Friday, February 9 through Sunday, February 11 where the Titans host the Titan Classic. The tournament will feature Loyola Marymount, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, UC Riverside, Utah State, and Middle Tennessee. Fullerton will play four games in the Titan Classic starting with a double header on Friday against Rutgers (3:30 pm) and Utah State (6:00 pm). On Saturday, Feb. 10, CSF takes on Pittsburgh for the final game of the day at 5:30 pm. The Titans wrap up the tournament on Sunday with a game against Loyola Marymount at 12:30 pm.

Following the Titan Classic, the Titans continue their busy month of February on the road for the Campbell Cartier Tournament hosted by San Diego State (Feb. 16-18) and the Mary Nutter Classic in Cathedral City, Calif. (Feb. 22-25)

The Titans will play five games at SDSU for the Campbell Cartier Tournament, starting with a double header on Friday, Feb. 16 against North Dakota State (9:00 am) and the University of Kentucky (11:30 am). For the fourth consecutive season, Fullerton will head to Cathedral City to take part in the Mary Nutter Classic. They will play four games, two double-headers, with the first being on Saturday, Feb. 24 against LIU Brooklyn (5:00 pm) and Mississippi State (7:30 pm). On Sunday, Fullerton takes on the Bears of Cal (11:30 am) and the Sun Devils of Arizona State (2:00 pm) to finish up the month of February.

The month of March will be just as busy for the Titans, as they will host the Judi Garman Classic (Mar. 1-4) and the Easton Invitational (Mar. 16-18) as well as co-host a tournament with Long Beach State (Mar. 8-11).

As usual, the Judi Garman features some of the top teams across the country, including the Florida Gators who were the runner-ups in the NCAA tournament last season. Fullerton will take on the Gators for their first game of the tournament on Thursday, March 1 at 5:00 pm. Fullerton will play a double-header on Friday, facing off against Stanford at 5:00 pm and Iowa at 7:30 pm. The Titans only play one game on Saturday as they take on the Bulldogs of Fresno State at 7:30 pm. The Titans will host Michigan State for a midweek game following the Judi Garman Classic on Tuesday, March 6 at 4:30 pm.

Next on the schedule is the co-hosted tournament by Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton. The Titans will host eight games from Thursday, March 8 through Sunday, March 11, playing in five of them. The Titans will play a double-header on Saturday, starting with Ohio State at 12:30 pm and Seattle at 3:00 p.m. CSF wraps up the weekend with a Sunday morning game against San Diego State at 10:00 am.

Before hosting the Easton Invitational, the Titans will play a midweek double-header on Tuesday, March 13 against Fairfield (4:00 pm) and Columbia (6:00 pm)

The final tournament on the schedule is the Easton Invitational where the Titans will play five games in three days.
