FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton softball team looks to continue its build on its successful 2017 spring as the program released its 2017 fall schedule, head coach Kelly Ford announced on Monday.
The schedule features seven games, five of which will be played at Anderson Family Field.
Fullerton kicks off their fall season with a home game against Coach Ford's former team, Mt SAC. The game will be played Friday, October 6th at 3:00 p.m.
On October 20th, the Titans head south for a game as they will travel to the University of San Diego to take on the Toreros at 5:30 p.m.
The following weekend, the Titans will face their biggest opponent of the fall as they travel to UCLA on Friday, October 27th, for a game against the Bruins. This game will be played under the lights as first pitch will be at 6:00 p.m. Fulleron will follow that up by playing host to three games on Saturday the 28th at Anderson Family Field. The first game will be a neutral site game between RCC and Arizona Western at 11 a.m. That will be followed up by double-header for the Titans as they'll take on Arizona Western at 1 p.m. and RCC at 3 p.m.
CSUF's final day of fall ball will be Saturday, November 4th. The day will start with the Titans facing off against Allan Hancock at 11 a.m. followed by a neutral site game between Allan Hancock and CSU Bakersfield at 1 p.m. The final game for Fullerton will be against the Roadrunners of Bakersfield at 3 p.m.
The Titans are coming off a season in which they finished 35-23 overall and 16-5 in Big West play to win their second consecutive Big West Title making them back-to-back champions for the first time in over a decade. Also, Fullerton made its 27th NCAA Regional Appearance in the program's history.
Fullerton returns four players, who earned Big West Conference honors last season. They also welcome six new players to the program, including freshman pitcher Taylor Dockins who was named Gatorade National Player of the Year in her senior season for Norco High School.
