FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton infielder Missy Taukeiaho will compete with the Mexican national team while outfielder Gabby Rodas will play alongside the Philippines national team this week at the General Tire World Cup of Softball IX. Both teams play a six-game schedule Tuesday thru Saturday at Bill Barber Park in Irvine, Calif., hosted by the Southern California ASA.
The national teams participating at the event include the United States, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Mexico, Venezuela and the Philippines. Sunday's schedule features the title game at 1 p.m., with a live telecast on ESPN. Three consolation games will follow the championship.
