FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's soccer earned a 1-1 draw against UC Irvine on Thursday night in the final match at Titan Stadium for the 2018 season.
With Oronoz at forward, the Titans, specifically Primus, were able to play long balls and free up Oronoz behind the Anteater defense. In the 33rd minute, Primus sent Oronoz up the left side of the field and Oronoz carried it into the 18-yard box and then beautifully returned the ball back to Primus in the middle of the field. Primus was all alone in the box and beat the goalkeeper for her fifth goal of the season and put CSF in front 1-0.

UCI tied the match at the 55:28 mark on a goal from Shelby Lee. Jonnae Joseph threw the ball in and found Lee, who was a good distance away from the goal, had space fired a shot that went over goalkeeper Allison Poole's head and into the side netting at the far post.
Both teams took 11 shots, seven were on target for the Titans while five were for the Anteaters. UCI won six corner kicks to four for the Titans.
Fullerton wraps up the season at Hawai'i on Sunday at 5 p.m. PT.
