Three Talented Transfers Commit to Titans for 2018

FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's soccer welcomes three new transfer students, Myriah Epino, Madison Bennett, and Delaney Lindahl, head coach Demian Brown announced Friday.

"Myriah is a strong and aggressive attacking player who will give us a different look and how we attack in the 2018 season," said Brown. Myriah Epino, a Las Vegas native, joins the Titans as a forward, after spending three years at Humboldt State University. Epino on choosing Cal State Fullerton, "CSF is one of the most competitive schools, both academically and from a soccer standpoint. I know that being here will push me and make me a better person and player." Epino earned CCAA All-Academic Team in 2017 while playing at Humboldt.

Maddison Bennett, a La Mirada native, joins Fullerton forward's squad after spending two years at the University of Arizona. In 2016, Bennett competed in every match for the Wildcats and notched one goal, and one assist for the season. In 2017 Bennett earned the PAC-12 All-Academic honorable mention while appearing in 19 games with one goal for the season. Bennett was also apart of the Wildcats 2017 trip to first-round of the NCAA tournament.  "We are extremely excited to add a player of Maddie's quality and experience to our program. Her speed, athleticism and nose for the goal will help us to reload our attack," said Brown.

Delaney Dombek Lindahl spent her first year with Iowa State and saw action in three matches logging 71 minutes of play for the Hawkeyes. "She is a solid defender who can play either centrally or out wide for us. She has tremendous experiences as a youth soccer player here in Southern California and we know that she will add to our defensive core immediately," said Brown. Lindahl has spent six years working for Soccer for Hope.

Each of the transfers looks forward to spring play and the upcoming cultural international experience trip to Europe. The Titans will travel to Berlin, Amsterdam, and Dublin from May 24 to June 3, 2018.
