FULLERTON, Calif. – Three Titans found themselves garnering United Coaches All-Region honors, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Senior Kaycee Hoover found herself a spot on the Second-Team All Regional squad. Hoover set the Titans atop in penalty kicks hitting the game ending fourth kick against CSUN to make the Titans Big West Conference Tournament Champions. Hoover totaled 12 points with five goals and two assists for the season. Hoover also earned accolades such as Big West Athlete of the Week for the week of 9/11, and All-Conference Honorable Mention.
Senior Sarah Fajnor and Junior Nano Oronoz etched a spot on the Third-Team All-Region team. Fajnor scored six goals this season and notched five assists for the season. Fajnor's accolades include Big West Athlete of the Week (9/25) and All-Conference First-Team. Oronoz kept the back line strong all season long and even scored a goal in the Big West Tournmanent Championship game. She also solidified one assist for the season. Oronoz also joined Fajnor on the Big West All-Conference First-Team.
2017 proved to be a standout year for the Titans as they found themselves in their eighth NCAA Tournament appearance in school history, seventh Big West Conference Tournament championship and sixth consecutive trips to the Big West Tournament.
