RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton goalkeeper Jennifer Stuart made four saves in goal, and senior defender Morgan Batcheller converted a penalty kick in the 61st minute to propel the Cal State Fullerton women's soccer team to a 1-0 shutout over UC Riverside on Sunday night at RSide Soccer Stadium.

With the win, the Titans boast an overall record of 12-2-1 and are now at the top of the Big West Conference standings with four consecutive wins and a record of 4-1-0 in league play.

"I'm very proud of the team's performance tonight," ninth-year head coach Demian Brown said following the match. "UC Riverside is a very good team, and to come here and leave with a win is a very good reflection of our growth to this point in the season."

In the 61st minute of play, freshman Nano Oronoz was fouled in the penalty area, and Batcheller was called upon to take the penalty shot, converting her third goal of the season – second PK. She is now 2-for-2 in penalty kick attempts this season.

UC Riverside (9-7-0, 3-2-0 Big West) played the final 10-plus minutes down a player after Blanca Barrio was issued a red card in the 80th minute.

UCR had a slight 17-14 shot advantage, with both teams putting four looks on frame. Elizabeth Silas made three saves in goal for the Highlanders.
