FULLERTON, Calif. – The dynamic duo of Rebecca Wilson and Christina Burkenroad each netted goals as the Cal State Fullerton women's soccer team delivered 2-0 shutout victory over Loyola Marymount on Friday night at Titan Stadium.

The Titans (7-1-1) now have an eight-match winning streak and a nine-match unbeaten streak in games at Titan Stadium dating back to 2014.

The Lions, currently receiving votes in the NSCAA National Poll, fall to 6-3-1 on the year.

Wilson put the Titans ahead 1-0 in the 34th minute with a goal that beat LMU goalkeeper Charlee Pruitt high to the far post. The play developed after a Connie Caliz corner that landed at the near post. Burkenroad fired a shot that was saved off the line by an LMU defender, and the deflection fell to Wilson, who quickly hammered the rebound high and to the left side.

Later in the first half, Burkenroad scored the goal she was denied earlier, in the 44th minute. In what appeared to be a cross from the right side, the shot curved over the reach of Pruitt into the far side of the net. Kaycee Hoover found an open Dominique DeCoy on the right side as the defender set up Burkenroad's sixth goal of the year.

In goal, Jennifer Stuart recorded the shutout with three saves. She is 5-0-0 on the year with two shutouts.

Burkenroad and Wilson have either scored or provided an assist in 16 of Fullerton's 21 goals this season. In addition, the pair has each scored goals in four matches this season and only once this year has either player not scored.

The Titans play their final non-conference game on Sunday, hosting San Diego at 5 p.m. in a doubleheader with the men's soccer team.
