Tangorra Joins FC Neunkirch

FULLERTON, Calif. – Former Cal State Fullerton women's soccer player Ann Marie Tangorra recently signed to play for FC Neunkirch in Switzerland.

 

"Ann Marie was an outstanding player for our program," Cal State Fullerton head coach Demian Brown said.  "She has worked extremely hard to have this opportunity, and we wish her the best of luck as a professional in Europe."

 

Tangorra, a native of Arcadia, Calif., will play for Team Frauen 1 with the club.

 

"I am beyond excited for this opportunity," Tangorra said. "Playing professionally is something that I have always dreamt about doing, and I can't wait to continue my soccer career overseas."

 

The striker spent two seasons (2011 & 2012) at Cal State Fullerton after transferring from Cal State L.A.

 

During her two years with the Titans, she played in 35 career matches recording 11 goals and nine assists, totaling 31 points.

 

She helped lead Fullerton to a regular season Big West Conference championship in 2012, and was named to the Big West first team following her senior season after earning second team honors in 2011.

Cal State Fullerton is currently in its spring season after finishing the 2013 campaign with a record of 8-7-7 and winning the program's fourth Big West Tournament championship, advancing to the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Titans will host Cal Baptist in their first spring match at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 7 at Titan Stadium.
