MIRA LOMA, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's golf defeated Cal Baptist 12-10 in a match play event Saturday afternoon at the Goose Creek Golf Club.

Fullerton fell behind early in the first round round as Cal Baptist took three of the four matchups to earn six points with Courtney Sharkey winning her individual matchup to give the Titans two points headed into the back nine holes.

The Titans mounted an impressive comeback on the back nine, winning five of the seven matchups to outscore the Lancers 10 to four and capture the victory with a final of 12 to 10.

Pauline Welker, Lisa Djerf, Britney Sok, Texie Petchel and Sharkey all won their individual matchups on the back nine to lead the Titans comeback.

Fullerton now looks forward to its first tournament of the spring schedule as the team heads to Kyle, Texas for the Texas State Invitational beginning Feb. 11 at the Plum Creek Golf Course.
